It seam that quite a lot of you go on about then, I have no idea what your on about?

its something to do with oil patterns...

Usually between the left and right 10 board (the center 20 boards) there's lots of oil and outside of those there is very little.

The result is that a shot that is pulled inside (to the left of target for a rightie) will hold its line and not hook as much, maybe going a little high or Brooklyn.  A shot that is put out too far right will find enough dry boards earlier that it'll begin its hook earlier and find its way back to the pocket.

I'd disagree with point number 1.  You can see through a glass wall, and it hurts just the same when you smack into one!

Inverted, you make an excellent point.  At the house I bowl league at, I can take my Impulse Zone drilled strong and a little swing around 2nd arrow.  I can also play this line with a polished power groove drilled pin over bridge.  That is my idea of a wall.

They usually are perpendicular and attach to ceilings and sometimes contain doorways.

Usually, if the center posts its honor scores, and half the bowlers are listed; you found your wall.
