My Wife and I have Been Bowling for about a Year now. She throws a 12LB Sling-Shot,
and She wants a New Ball. She wants a Heavier Ball she wants a 14lb because She Throws the Hell outa the 12lb pound ball. Is the Two Pounds Gonna Make a Difference?When i talk to our Pro Shop Lady who is 80 years old She only talks about when she was on tour so you get no where. plus she drilled her ball standard house grip.
but anyway was gonna surprise her with a new ball and get some Suggestions and answers.

Here are a few suggestions (In no specific order):
Brunswick - Ringer
Radical - Torrid Affair
DV8 - Diva
If your staying with the conventional grip the increased weight will be slightly noticable but if your going to have it drilled finger tip it will be a big change that will take sometime to get used to.

I think the switch up to 14 will be fine.  If she's throwing a 12 around like it's nothing, 13 isn't going to feel much different, so I wouldn't worry about going up to 14.  I'd suggest finding a different pro shop then too.  And as far as balls go, gotta pay attention to her style and find a good shop that can recommend one for her, because none of us have seen her bowl.  And don't go diving into the bargain bin, most of the worst decisions a bowler will ever make begin with the words, "man, look at the deal on that ball!"  By the time you end up fixing the mistakes or damage, you'll spend much more than you would have just getting quality to begin with. 

I would start with either an Ebonite Cyclone or a Brunswick Strike King.  Both are reasonably priced entry level reactive resin balls with dynamic cores.  They are surprisingly strong for their price.  Give her a season with it, then if she wants, move to something stronger.  --  JohnP

I like the Jewel. Got my wife one, and she loves it (and as soon as I drill mine, I'm sure I'll love it too.) Buddies has one left in 14 for $70 shipped. Also, I echo the sentiment of finding a new shop. Where are you located? Us Ballreview guys are EVERYWHERE!

Oh definitely, I've had a couple great bargain bin balls.  However, you've gotta have an eye for it and know what you're going for, too many people see "well that's the cheapest one so I'm buying it," regardless of it's a decent ball or not.  And yeah, it will be easier to find a good 14 pound bargain bin ball than 15.  But then again, looking online, so many people don't get the right information.  Why is it on sale?  1 inch pin?   6 inch pin?  Cg 3 inches left or right of pin to mb line?  Or is it simply something like a color blem or just discontinued?  And some people online just pay attention to the first number on the box.  To them, 14lbs, 13 oz is a 14 lb ball.  I've just fixed or had to deal with a significant amount more of bargain bin problems than successes, so I generally warn against it, but you're most definitely right!  I got a color blem Classic Zone for 50 bucks on ebay 7 or 8 years ago, and it's still on my rack in the basement, loved that ball. 

Nothing wrong with a "bargain bin" ball.  For every, "man, this ball sucks, no wonder it was on sale."  There is a, "this ball is amazing, why was it on sale?"  Many balls that are in the "bargain bin" are simply older balls that have been replaced in a manufacturers lineup.  And at 14 pounds, I see many great balls.  It is just that 14 pounds isn't as popular.

But I agree, any suggestion for a ball should be from a respected person with knowledge of the bowlers style and the conditions on which it will be used.
