Bowling ball damage

So I have been bowling in this bowling ally since I was 11 years old.  Since the older manager left I have had nothing but problems at this house.  Today I had my fifth bowling ball get messed up in the house.  Previously they have fixed about 2 but the others they have left me out to dry.  However today I had my fifth one get caught in between the return wheel and a pin in the back.  The ball was stuck so I told them a ball was stuck and they sent it back through the return like normal.  I told the manager that it was torn up and he looked at me and pointed to a sign that say "not responsible for damaged equipment" and then walked off like nothing happened.  It seems that everytime something happens to my equipment they always try to blame me or blame storm for having "crappy equipment" again this is the fifth time this has happened and I am starting to rub low on money from having to get other bowling allies to fix my things.
My question is should they be reliable and is this considered property damage?

Regardless of their policy,as a matter of customer service they should make an effort to repair the damage.By not doing so,they are letting you know that they do not value you as a customer,and I would suggest you find somewhere else to bowl.

Should they? Yes

Can they tell you no, as they did? Yes

WHat should you do? If you are tired of the ways, do NOT bowl there. By giving them your business you are telling them it is okay to treat you like this. Don't like it, leave and tell them why.

Yes I am highly considering going to another center.  The only problem is The closest one is about 30 minutes away and this one is five minutes down the road.  Oh well.

I agree with the rest.

They should at least try to retain your business but they are also free to say what they did.

I would have found another center to go to after ball #1 was damaged.

This center obviously doesn't care that you've been bowling at this place since you were 11.

If the other center is better overall and doesn't damage your equipment, the money saved from damage free equipment would be worth it IMO.

I have to agree with what the others have mentioned.  They should have made an effort to fix it.  But since they basically said screw you, they don't care about your business or the fact that you've been a long time bowler.

Time to find a new place to bowl where they do value you.

Describe "torn up".  Describe how you approached the manager after your fifth ball got damaged.  Did you hold back your anger and approach him like an adult?  Did you yell at him about crappy lanes and maintenance messed up another ball (only in this case, neither had any thing to do with what happened to your ball).  Curious to know more.

I would say, use crappy equipment only at that house and bowl there only when it is convenient for you and cheap. After the second ball, you assumed the risk. By the fourth, you should have been certain that at some point, your ball would be damaged again and they would not pay to fix it. Why complain?
