On finger inserts are the pitches different between the two sides.  If so how do they differ.  I mean the ones with the power lift side and oval side.

On the end with just the oval there is no pitch it is just "straight".

The power lift side of Turbo Classics is 1/4" pitch.
The power lift side of Turbo Quads is 1/8" pitch.

The power lift side of Vise power lifts and Vise power ovals is 1/4"

Does the pitch go away from the thumb or towards it.

Lifts add forward pitch, Do you know what that means? If so you have your answer.

I assume that means the ends your fingers are more forward.  Away from your thumb.

Okay, I assume your a beginner and have never seen these before.

Forward Pitch is when your fingers or thumb or both, are angled toward the midline (center) of your grip.

Reverse Pitch is when your fingers or thumb or both, are angled away from the midline (center) of your grip.

As for the difference between power lifts and power lift ovals, They are just different styles.

The power lifts on inserts will add forward to the fingers. As stated forward are pitches towards the palm or in the case of fingers towards the thumb.

Depending on how the proshop drilled the insert holes you can end up with any amount of forward or reverse.

Unless asked for different pitches we always drilled inserts with zero forward/reverse. We would pitch each hole slightly left or right to avoid drilling the bottom of the insert holes together. This would help keep the finger holes from breaking out.

Power lifts also tend to stretch spans slightly unless that is taken into account during drilling. Most finger pain we encountered was due to too long of spans. If the tips of your fingers are burned and/or have small dark spots then your span is too long.
