what to do with uncontollable ball
« on: January 29, 2010, 09:28:09 AM »
i have a brunswick eliminator ball and was really excited when i got it of craiglist for $10. i got it drilled and was really looking forward to using it in my bowling league. the sad thing about it is that it has not gotten that high game i been looking for. im not talking a 300 game but at least a 200 game to know that this ball has something to offer. its like i cant control it or im not thowing it right. it goes brooklyn a lot and i really dont want it to do that. what can i do with this ball?

WHY did you want this ball?  This ball is one good piece, but it is a strong core with a strong particle cover and is meant for heavy oil. Anything less and the ball will either hook too early or too much.

Keep the ball and use it on the proper conditions and you will be much happier with the results.

  • Don't blame the lanes, blame the bowler! Adjust!

I have the same ball and I use to have problems like you are experiencing.Everyone have given you good advice. You also need to learn finger position, lane condition. This ball is very agressive and hook on the backend. one of my favorite finger postion is, spreading my pinky and fore finger. Spreading both will even out the reaction. I am not saying this will work for you , like it work for me but give it a try. I have over 100 games on this ball. In Dec I shot my highest with this ball 279. I hope this will work for you.
