I ask this because I throw my first ball about 14.5 mph. I throw my spare ball around 20-21, and if Im throwing at splits about 23-24. I fell apart this morning in league and had a 210 first game with a open in the 8th and 9th frame, and then shot 135 followed by 140. The last ball in my 3rd game was pocket and I left a 4-7 (Im right handed). I picked it up, but I threw my ball 27 mph. I think my fastest if I remember right is 30-31.

So how fast is your first ball, your spare ball, and how hard have you actually thrown a bowling ball before?

Normal: 17-20 mph for strikes and anywhere from 21 to 28 on average for spares.

My fastest has been 31 mph. All this on Qubica scoring.

Using 16 lb equipment:

First ball averages between 16-22 MPH depending on conditions.  Usually sits around 19-21 lately though.

Spares average between 22-23 MPH

Hardest I've been able to chuck a spare ball was 24.32 MPH

15-16 mph on first ball. 18-20 mph on spares. My hardest was clocked at 27 mph.
