15 lbs. with fingertip drilling, just like my other equiqment. Before this I had a 14 lbs., but it was too light and had a complety different feeling than my strike balls - i used to toss it halfway down the lane...

14lb every thing else is 15lb.
That 1 pound difference helps me throw it a tad bit faster, which helps me keep it on line better.
You definitly do not want to go more than 1 pound below the weight you throw. Sometimes the lighter balls you get,you might tend to throw it to fast, and miss spares.

I have 2 spare balls. 1-15 and 1-14, ( I throw 15 out of the bag) and tonight, sigh, I bought a third....if my wife sees this I'm dead.
I found an Ebonite V2 Dry...the lowest rg ball made, as I can find.
I think the one lb under is the way to go, a bit faster, straighter..
Now all I have to do is sell off the other 2 I have before the wife see's all them.

16 pounds, like the rest of my equipment. I stick with 16 pound equipment to keep my ball speed down a tad, and I like my spare ball to feel like everything else.

My spare ball is a 15lb Gemstar GT (I've never heard of it either...)
Although, the ball still manages to hook after a high-grit finish...
