The important thing about slide/no slide is consistency.
I wear SST Vs, which give me the interchangeable sole - helps on synthetic approaches, that can be so tacky.
I don't have either a huge kneebend or slide - but it MUST be consistent for me to be consistent.
My "home" house resurfaced last year, and I find that if I slide too close to the row of nails about 15" behind the approach, I stick every time. Not good.
BUT - I expect it now, and can deal with it. But my upper left thigh is tight when I'm done bowling in that house.
