How long???

How long (years bowling) did it take for those with 300's???
I started bowling when I was 8 stopped when I was 16 to pursue baseball.  Took bowling back up summer 04.  Now I'm 25 and seem to get closer and closer each week to finally getting that perfecto.  Closest came last weds when I had front 8 but got heart broke in 9th with a ringing 10.  So what about you people???

started bowling in jr league when i was 7, so in 1979. I rolled my first 300 in 1991. now have 26 total

I started bowling at age 20 in 1984. First 300 was in 1985 or 86.

started bowling in adult leagues in 1990, bowled very little before that and that was just some open bowling,fun stuff. hit my only 300 in march of 1998.

Is it me, or has the whole world gone CRAZY!!...

"Started bowling 2000, bowled first 300 2001 or 2002..". OMG!!
The 300 was the proverbial Mt Everest, maybe its just me, but after several of these posters happily proclaim their first 300 game, it seems as if the 300 has slipped a little, perhaps close to Mt Mickey Mouse or similar..

Perhaps I'm just green with envy, yes thats it, just plain envious. Well done anyone who can roll a 300. !!

I hope that one day, perhaps in another 5-10 years time, I'll scrape a 300 game together. Working hard on my game, picking up my spares.

Started in a high school league in 1967 and it took until 1989 for my first one.  That's just twenty two short years.

I can only hope it won't take you 40 years (give or take a year) as it did for me.    It sure felt good once it finally came this past October, though!

It took me about 4 years to do it. Then after I did it the 1st time, I did it again 3 months later. Weird, huh??

i started bowling in april of 99 and had my first 2  300 by october and november of 99      then quit fo a couple of years and this is my secind year back   since the 2 year stint i didnt bowl and ive got 4 299'2  2 7 pins 1 8 pin and 1 6 pin    1 298    2 more 300's and a 811 and 816
