how many 270 plus games did u bowl before u got 300?

well so far since ive jumped up to mens league from junior league 4 years ago (13 at the time of that) i have shot a 290 couple of 280s and 23 270s and i just dont get y it is that i mess up just 1 frame i just dont get it maybe somebody could have a hint on how to carry a 10 pin once itd be nice

Over the last 30 years probably  150-200 of them and still no 300.  5-299,11-290, 20+289 and too many 278-279 to remember

None.  

The first three games that I ever bowled were 300's.

Never kept track of the 27x games, but I would guess around 40?
Several 278s, LOTS AND LOTS of 279s, one 288, two 289s, and one 299.
Finally got over the hump 2 days ago and tossed my first 300.

We'll see what happens now. Curious to see if more will come since the pressure is off, or if I will revert back to my normal dumb arse self

If you''re like me (and I haven''t blown a 300 by leaving a 10 pin in a long time) you''ll figure out how to carry the 10 and start leaving 8''s and 9''s.  Stupid F***ing game.

Don''t know how many I''ve had, but it''s too damn many.  Just rubs salt in the wound to see a 170 avg. hack cross over or crumble beak shots for half or more of the 12 and get the ring when I''ve been solid so many times and took it in the *** on one shot in the 10th.

I love the hacks, we faced a team of them this past week,  Two guys on the team who are old (like 75 yrs old, I think) who throw the ball like 10 mph and average 170, both threw high 600 series on us.  They just float the ball down second arrow so slow you just want to fall asleep before it gets there and with balls that are like 20 years old were carrying everything this week, whether it was pocket, on the nose, or jersey, they carried it.  It was embarrasing when our team was ripping the pocket all night long leave 7pins or 10pins 2 out of every 3 pocket shots.  We got humilated score wise on Tuesday, it was really bad to see this team of hax just carry the house on us. Next time we face them I think I ought to take my sanded ball and throw it down second arrow the first game so there ball hooks way too much to throw it that slow by the third game  .

Anyways, for me it was only one game 270+, it was a 289 the week before the 300 when I was 16.  The embarrasing part was I have only had 3 games 270+ since then with countless 269s or 268s.

I''m guessing I had 20-30 plus a 298 game before I got my first 300. If you''re throwing big games, be patient and it will come.

Unfortunately, I probably had 125-175 270+ games and 17 years between my first and second 300 I''ve had one a year since shooting my second one though. For me I have to make sure I take a little more time in the 10th for each shot but stay relaxed.

If I''m not relaxed I have a tendency to throw the ball harder making it break later and leave a 10 pin. Maybe that could be your problem? Another thing is you don''t ever want to go up there thinking I''m really going to hit this one and smash the pins. When you do that odds are you''re going to throw the ball different than you have on the shots up to that point and leave a single pin or worse.

imperiallanesbooneia? Would that refer to Imperial Lanes in Boone Iowa? I bowl the scratch league there on Friday nights.

Never had a single game over 270 before I shot 300... I was very much an aweful spare shooter (slowly getting better) and had had games with 10-11 strikes in them before but the other frame or two was always an open, so I had never had a game over 270 before I shot 300. In the set I shot 300, at our state tournament, I had a 260 game with 11 strikes in the doubles set right before shooting 300 in singles... but prior to the 300, never had any games over 270

Haha, that would be fun, haven't bowled against a true spinner ball in a long time.  You probably would drive me nuts especially with how bad I am bowling now which is making me almost 1 dimensional.  I am down in the high 160s as far as average, (mainly because I have been having consistency issues with armswing and accuracy plus trying to figure out how to control my reign),  but am hoping to get that fixed next summer, was up to 212 just 5 years ago .

But, those kinda teams just make you mad especially when you are on a good night throwing the ball.  My teammates were doing the same thing, throwing good shots, getting ripped.  We have just had a bad first half, thankfully it is over in 2 weeks.  Right now my team is just focusing on getting ourselves lined up for the second half since the shot has been pretty consistent the last few weeks.

I had 1 game over 270 before my first 300. They were both in the same set. Lol. Game 1 I had a 280. That was my highest at the time then in game 3 I shot my 300. I can't remember much of it though people who were watching said they could see me shaking from half the center away. The whole place practically shut down. It was only the second 300 in the 30 year history of the center and the first 800.

in juniors i went on a 3 week streak of 279 288 289 278 290 299 289 300.

50+, including 5- 299 games. I had 268, 268, 279 for 815 before a got my only 300. I'm in PBA experience league now, so honor scores are out.

Good luck. Most of the good younger players at my center have so many 300's that they have lost count.

I do believe I only had 1 game over 270 which was a 297,,, before i had a 300..
