gparks,
To answer your questionm directly -
In 2002 I was the PWBA NW Region rookie of the year.
In 2003, my book average was 220.
It has been sliding downhill ever since.
in 04 it was 215.
05 - 206
06 - 200
07 - 191
08 - 194 (uptick - don't remember why)
09 - 187
my current average before this week in the scratch league was 180. I started this year with a serious knee injury, that kept me on the bench the first 5 or 6 weeks of league.
Way back in the usta be good days, I practiced between 60-100 games A WEEK. Now I'm fortunate if I can find time to practice 10 games A SEASON. So I'm getting out of the game exactly what I'm putting into it. I'm not complaining - I understand hard work and how to succeed. My efforts these days are going into making a living
- because now I work for a very difficult boss (me), and also, because there's just no decent "mid level" competition for women any more.
I can assure you I have NEVER thrown a shot in competition that was any other than the best I could do at that moment. Period.
So - rest assured - it's not sandbagging. At least not by me. Ever.
