ok i need a little help
« on: March 02, 2005, 11:10:22 PM »
well i am doing a project at school and i call it the history of bowling/ bowling balls. I have most of the history of bowling down but i am left blank with the bowling balls. It can not be realated to anything american so i need international time lines or stuff. also intertational ball pics would help. any sites that have to do with how the bowling ball advanced in non american ways/even bocce balls work.  thanks

www.bowlingballreviews.com has both overseas and discontinued balls by manufacture. also www.pbatour.com has an extensive list of approved bowling balls that dates way back, no pictures though. jim

Hmm, dunno the exact title (must be something with "bowling", though ), but there is a nice introductory book written by Parker Bohn III and a ghost writer. A large part of the book deals with the sport's history, and also with the development of bowling balls and technical milestones.

I'd suggest to take a look at different bowling books for a ball development overview. Or try to contact large manufacturers. Their PR department should provide you with vital information about ball development.
