How many games we need to practice a day and how many days, should be enough to get better?
I am planning to setting up a schedule for practice. Any opinion would help...

Off hand, I would be assuming that you will be making the time, since you are asking how much practice.
Most people I've talked to say about 50/week. But these are people at 200 and up. So I think what they mean to maintain that level they have to do 50/wk
when I was about 10-15 pins below what you're shooting now, I practiced 6 games/set, 3 sets a week for 2 months, I finished at 180.
But I would say, it depends on how fast you learn, and Bones is correct. Don't do too many games in one go. You might actually develope a bad habit. Try the 3X a week. Wether it is a good set or bad. pack it up.
Oh another thing, at the level your in - practice sparing more. Its the easiest way to go to the next level.

Thanks for the quick responses. Currently I am practicing 3 days a week and 10 games per day. And since the winter league is going to start in this 2 weeks, so I am planning on practice 2 days (5 games each)on non-league days and 3 games before the 2 leagues. Do you think this is adequate?
I am currently working on my first step, trying to shorten it a bit, I find this helps me slow down my approach instead of running in to it, and eventually I find I can gain better balance at the foul line. However, this lost a bit of the momentum when I push away the ball during the first step.
Any drill will help, physically or mentally.
Many Thanks

Laufaye, I agree with Sawbones. It looks like you really want to improve and willing to put in the effort. I've recommended the Dick Ritger program before. After the 4 day program you will know what areas to practice. You can cut down your practice sections to once or twice a week. I think after taking that camp you should be able to average over 200 on a decent house shot.

on a normal week, i'd practice about 3 times a week at 6 games each.
on the days i cannot practice on the lanes, I will do some "off-lane" drills... the rolling the ball into the cup 10-15' feet away, darts (hand-eye coordination), etc., etc...

Bones you beat me to it. Was just gonna add have a coach.
Another thing a video cam will help a lot. Video tape yourself, when you're
in the groove so to speak. When you hit a slump, video tape that too. Then check the difference.
Jeremy V - Darts, I like that game too. 501 or killers?
