Prayers go out the Keeth family. He was an inspiration to me when he won the Tums Classic in the early 90's (I was in high schol back then). Thanks for the memories and Rest In Peace...

Regards, Ramtart

I don't know what to say.
I'm stunned.

Please - if the family reads this, make sure that they receive my sincerest sympathy and condolences.

Wow, that's really sad.  Not sure what to say.  All I know is he'll be missed.

It appears that it was a massive heart attack on Thanksgiving morning that created too much brain damage with the loss of oxygen resutling from the attack.  I can only imagine what this guy did with a resin ball in his hand.

If you think what you see is impressive with a urethane ball, you should have seen him with resin.

This guy had too much raw power, speed, revs and hook for the game. If there was ever a player that had so much that it hurt them it was Keeth.

He was a pretty good spare shooter as well, wow did he have game....

RIP Rocket

Saw, just hit the nail on the head. A power player that was a great spare shooter. Man, I still remember rewinding that Tape of the 92-93? Tums Classic while I was in High School. He would carry the whole world and the pins just danced around the deck like crazy. I think he was using a Columbia 300 Black Urethane ball *forget which model and it's killing me! anyone remember?*

I remember he was wearing the two tone colored La Mode shirt too hehe.
You're in a better place now Jimmy,

I asked Dave Wodka one time who had the most revs out of any player he has ever bowled against his answer simply was Jimmy Keeth. That says alot considering he has bowled against Rudy, Robert Smith and many other guys inculding Roth.

I think that Jimmy Keeth and John Gant took the power game to new levels.  Gant was Earl Anthony on steroids(smooth and immensely powerful) and Jimmy Keeth proved that one could overpower the ball and still score.

Ok, thanks to BOWLNGNUT, he confirmed that the ball he used to win the Tums Classic in 92or93 was the Columbia 300 Black U-Dot with white lettering.

He was also using the Bigger Robby wrister at the time. I bet he removed the metal plate, because he sure did cup the ball and unload the ball the ball at release. There is no way he could've done that unless he bent the piece of metal to conform to the cupping of the wrist. *I'm guessing Robby products gave him an incentive to wear it on the show*
