Nah, I just have to move a lot of weight around lol

I a bench press contest I would lose, because it is based on
the ratio of what you weigh to what you can bench.

I weigh 325/350  benching 450

There are more guys on here aproaching the 2.0

NOt to hijack Nollster

but list your body weight with your bench

55 lbs x 3 times. I figure my 3 ball roller bags weigh about 55 lbs,..3 into the back of my truck is about max for me,...that's for tournaments,..only one or two for leagues. That's plenty.

For me, it's currently the 190# bench for a 235#'r.  But I am working hard on upping the bench and losing the weight, so hopefully the ratios will improve.  I'm going to try a max bench later this week, but I'll need a spotter -- nothing like the wife catching you with a weight bar on your chest pinning you to the bench!!

Damn, it looks like I'm just barely haning onto the top 3 or so. Right now, my 5 rep sets use weights of 270-280-290. My last one-rep max that I cleared was 330lbs. I've hit a nice upswing over the last couple of weeks, so I think it will increase to at lease 335, and maybe 340. That still leaves me well short of a couple of you big dawgs, though. I bow my head to those even more manly than I.

Hmm, I'm not sure.  I'll find out in the fall, when the fall football season starts up (high school).  In 8th grade, I could leg press around 400, I wonder what I'm at now (after getting bigger).

bench - 425
squat - 615
deadlift - 575

Was involved in Powerlifting during my football playing years (1988 last time I played competively).  Now 41 yrs. old and definitely not as strong, though I do throw the weights around every now and then

Yeah, there sure are some big boys trolling around. As for myself, my goal is to get Under Armor to sponsor me on tour! That way I'd be able to show off my ripped manliness on the lanes. That'd be sweet. I'd look like a giant tool, but it would still be sweet ;  )

DR: "Wow....kind of takes my 60 feet to success to the extreme, eh Randy!"
RP: "Ummmm.....sure Dave.  Whatever you think is best."

IF I didn't know any better I'd say you have talked to SrKegler, or KEndog lol.
KEn call me 4 wiggles and a heave, because I am so big it doesn't look like I am moving when I move, but I do move about six feet, but that is from the very end of the approach.

My friend bowlingdude300 regularly benches 300-something. I, on the other hand, am lazy and have no clue what I can bench.

On Edit: He is currently a sophomore in high school.

I don't "bench" per se, since my wrist is too weak to trust with weights over my head.  But I workout with about 210 on the upright press.  I'll do drop sets till I fail with 90.

Funny thing... I've just started working with a personal trainer.  No, not one of those clowns at the local gym (24 Hour Fitness trainers are idiots).  But this guy does this for a living and is actively competitive in bodybuilding.  Anyhoo, he got a hold of my hams/bis yesterday and killed 'em!  We did volume sets (no less than 20 reps, usually about half your max weight).  It destroyed me.  Humbling, to say the least, to not even complete a set of 6 curls with 15 lb dumbells.

Maxing our for one rep is not much of a stat.  Short bursts of energy are not a real sign of strength or development.  Lifting heavy has its place in a routine, but it should not be your only style.

Right now, anytime I get my lazy butt off the couch, it's a good thing.  Felt like I was going to puke last night, but I worked out anyway -- I'm on a freakin' mission, baby!!!

There is a secret all of us gym rats hold.  That secret is... consistency.  No matter what the weather is, what the time is, what the circumstances... if you are supposed to go to the gym, GO!  Even if you need to cut it short and only lift for 30 minutes, it's important that you go.

I've been going to the gym 5-6 days a week for about a year and a half now.  Not until recently, maybe the last few months, have I really started to see my own gains.  My weight hasn't changed much (~193 lbs, 5'11" at 10-12% bf), but my composition continues to improve.  A little leaner and a little more mass.

I'm pretty excited about my new trainer.  He's changing things up big time.  This time next year I might be close to hitting the 200 lb milestone.
