How much for 1st place?
« on: February 23, 2004, 09:04:23 AM »
I bowl in a mixed handicap league.  The prize fund is $900.00 per person for 1st place.
The league fee is $20.00 per week.  I'm curious what the 1st place payout is for other mixed handicap leagues .  So, what is yours and how much do you pay weekly.  Also, what place are you currently in?  So far, my team's fortunate to be in 1st.

I bowl in a mixed league that pays only $750 per person for first place. Our league fees are $21 per week.  The highest prize list submitted for vote was $950 per person, but it was voted down.

BTW, we were in first place, but after Sunday's fiasco (lost 9 1/2 of 11 on position night), we're probably in about third or fourth.

I bowl a women's league where the fee is $14 per week and we're lucky if each bowler gets $200 back per person.

What are your lineage rates?  We pay $8.80.

I am happy to say that in my country my lineage rate is $3 per night (3 lines) and the league fee is $10 for all the league (8 nights), but the prizes SUCK SUCK SUCK.... first place gets $150 and teams only get a trophy on first 3 places, but they have a final game between the first 5 places and pays cash the first 3 places too... so overall, if you win EVERYTHING you get like $200-$250

My ladies league is only $13.00 per week, of which $7.50 is lineage.  First place gets a bit more than $200.  I make up the winning prize list most of the time, and guarantee last place at least $100 per person. There are a lot of retirees on this league whose teams never come near first place, so I thought it only fair that the prize money list isn't top-heavy.

My lineage is $11.70 which appears to be a lot higher than most. But then again in my area everything's extreme.

In my "classic" league, we pay $30 per week, of which $10 goes to lineage.  There are 3 to a team, and we break the season into 3 sessions.  Each player on the winning team each session gets $550, so if you take 1st place all 3 sessions, you get $1650.

Out of 12 teams, we finished 5th in the 1st session, and tomorrow, we get to fight it out for 3rd place in the second session.  Who knows, 5th... 3rd... 1st!
