How much is Open Play at your local center?
« on: March 17, 2005, 07:28:50 AM »
I think my local center has Open Play (after 6pm) set at $3.50 plus $2.25 for shoes.

Not as bad as some places I hear about.  Someone mentioned the other day about paying $5 a game!!  Eek!

How about your center?

Open play not during special hours ranges from $3.50 - $4.50 depending on what center.  League bowlers at one center $1.75, another center I bowl in is $2, and the 3rd is $3.50.  They also run Quartermania with a $6-$7 admission fee, then $0.25 - $0.50 per game.

My house in North Adams, Massachusetts charges $2.50 for league bowlers during the week.  But on the weekend for Cosmic Bowling it's like $3.50-3.75

$33.95 per hour.  $2.50 for shoes.  Public/Open bowling at this house sucks because they stick you on lanes 40-60 where there is absolutely no oil because they don't use those lanes for league play

$2.00 per game every day, $1.00 per game Tuesdays.  Decent house, they oil every day at 5pm.

$2.00 per game for me, $3.25 per game for everyone else.  Decent house, wooden backends that FLY, but the lanes are well maintained - there's only 20 10-pin lanes and 10 5-pin lanes.

It takes 8-12 minutes to drive to the first house, and 20-30 minutes to the other houses.  I don't have time, I don't have money, I can't practice a whole lot

Weekday daytime, $2 games, weeknights $2.50 game, Saturdays $2.75 game, Sunday noon-3 $1 game, then $1.75 game til close.  $15 per lane per hour anytime. Monday nights $5.99 for 2 hrs n shoes per person, Sat nights $10.99 per person for 2 hrs n shoes.  League bowlers $1.50 a game, and for me, it's free cuz I work there!  Can't beat that price.

Evenings and weekend are £3.50 a game ($6.65)
weekdays are £2.50 ($4.75)
and shoe hire is 50p
and non-members have to pay another 50p
so...
3 games can be £11.50 each player  ($21.86)

Though you can get striker tickets for £4.95 which are 'bowl all you want' from 11am to 6pm
and if your in the singles league you can get a night striker for £5.95 which is 6pm till 11pm

the cheapest one ive been too up here in nyc is $1 per game on mondays and its around 9pm-1pm which is good cause i usually get home from work/school on weekdays at about 10pm its a little out of the way but thats a price im willing to pay since most centers are closed by then...the house that i go to the most is normally $2.75 on weekday mornings and jumps to $3.25 i think on weekends...but since im a regular they only charge me $2.25 to as low as $1.75 any day any time and even cosmic bowling...
