Frequently. When I am close to my proshop, I use Ebonite Powerhouse ball cleaner on my Ball spinner. When I am away, I use the Ebonite Ball wipes.
I would recommend that you wipe off your ball after every shot and then clean it after every league session. You spent the money on your equipment, why not protect your investment and allow it to work as best it can for as long as it can.

everyday in the shower
. As far as bowling balls goes usually about once a month and when I change the surface on a ball. Give them a good clean resurface usually after a ton of games and before the season starts.

After bowling - every 3 games for leagues - could be as many as 12 games in practice. I also wipe the ball down between shots with a microfiber towel - try to do that after every shot. I tend to track close to fingers and thumb, so sometimes the oil gets too close to my index finger.
I use simple green/water/rubbing alcohol mixture, Ebonite Energizer cleaner, Brunswick Bowling ball cleaner (from Kmart), Storm Reacta Clean, Ebonite 2 part reactive ball cleaner (from Dick's sporting goods), and sometimes an Orange based degreaser - depends on what I have handy at the time. Usually it's the simple green mixture in my bag.

I clean with power wash before leaving each time.

Everytime I use my bowling ball, whether it is one shot or multiple games. I try to clean the ball at the lanes with Storm Recta clean or Ebonite Powerhouse. Then, after I get home I reclean and deep clean with clean n' dull. May be trying Legends cleaner soon. Sometimes I just use clean n'dull at the center but it's not as easy as most cleaners to use. More you take care of your bowling equipment, the longer it will last.

After every 3 games I clean my balls. During tournaments after each game. I use rubbing alcohol that you can buy for like $1.00 which will last at least a year. For those of you that don't clean, don't complain why your ball reaction goes away. Makes no sense to me to spend $100+ for a high performance ball and only clean it once a year or never.

After every session I clean my reactive balls that have been thrown one or more times. I don't clean my spare ball hardly ever.
It's good to make a habit of cleaning them. They really don't lose any or much of their magic if you take care of them well. Also, cleaning them when you get home or after your sessions at the alley gives you a good time to think about your bowling while it's fresh in your head. I find being able to step back a little and thinking about your game really pays off. Ball cleaning time is as good as any.
I use basic cleaners. Glorified Windex essentially. I have some clean and dull but I don't use it too much.

After 6 to 9 games with Zapp-it.

After each session.
-
At least after every second session - either with wipes or ball cleaner and a micro fiber towel. Additionally, a warm-water-bucket tour every now and then (every 6 months or so per ball, depends on usage) and surface refreshment when the ball visibly tracks out or loses performance.

After every set, my special cleaner I developed, while I'm waiting for all the league paperwork ( my wife is the Sec so we wait) and the next day after I'm home with Clean and Dull. I found the No Mercy's require it and the "junk" you get off the balls will really surprise you.
Granted I'm in the desert and a lot of dust/dirt here so might be needed more here than other places.

Every time I use them. Usually twice a week - once after league and once after practice. I use Zapp-It. I also use Clean and Dull on them once a month.

I use a micro towel after every shot, but now use legends after each set and I was really surprised at how much dirt and oil comes off. I figure if one is going to spend that much money on a ball, then why not take care of it?

Everytime before the ball goes back in the bag it is cleaned with Ebonite Powerhouse.
-
When there is an obvious track. The rest of the ball is not in contact with the lane so I don't worry about it.Scuffs and dirt outside the track is just cosmetics to me.

Every time I use them with 50/50 Simple Green. I find that it's stronger than most cleaners without removing any polish on the ball. Wipe it off every shot, too.
If you saw what I see coming out of balls in the Revivor you'd be amazed at how much dirt and oil are removed from the cover.
