Recently, I have been drifting a little, after re-reading Tom Kouros I have begun sliding my first step ( i use 4 step approach) instead of walking as per usual. Anyway, I have found today, that after the first couple of games. that this action became quite natural.
My question is, after trying this tip should I persist with the slide??? I, at present due to family/work can bowl around 10 games weekly, not a great deal I know, but if my consistancy is (and in the forseeable future) to continue to be a problem, would it be prudent to continue with this tip???
Anybody out there using the first step slide on a permanent basis, or second if using 5 step approach?
Please help if you can, I do appreciate experienced views, and really benefit from the advice given.
Thank you Looseleftie

I slide my first step and use a 5 step approach and it has totally stopped my drift all together. I used to drift as many as 8 boards from start to finish. Thats not good for consistency. If you feel comfortable doing what you are doing now and you are able to be consistent, why change??

Thank you guys for the replies and advice give. It IS appreciated let me tell you. I will persist with the slide and see how I fair.
I don't have access to a coach and most league bowlers are around my level of ability or below (which is not hanging on them at all, its just a fact). Technical questions are best left in my view to you bowlers on this forum.
So again, thank you Looseleftie
