How to Generate more ball speed
« on: September 08, 2008, 03:14:51 AM »
This summer I had a goal to create more ball roll.  I have been succussful in doing such, however, I've had to slow the ball down to get the results that i like.  I have been shooting more consistantly.  I now am getting comfortable with my "new approach" but now im looking to generate more ball speed.  I'm throwing high 13's to low 14's(mph) Before this summer i was throwing about 16.  I dont have much of a pushaway(pushaways get me into trouble)i walk into the swing if that makes any since....I hold the ball below the waste.  Any suggestions on how to get more speed and keep the roll consistant?  When i speed up i lose revs.  anyone?

Hold the ball higher in your stance. Above the waist.  IT will decrease your revs slightly, but nothing that should be too noticeable.

Thank you,  I will definitely give that a shot.  In my Youth days i used to throw the ball 20 without a problem but bad habits and trying to "change" my game has resulted in me going back to basics and starting all over again..thanks for the feed back...
