Which Direction to go (surface / arsenal wise).......?
« on: February 05, 2013, 01:58:25 PM »
So I have a new Bullet Train coming and I'm not sure which direction to go with it.  I feel confident in my current arsenal to handle pretty much everthing except a major flood (which I never encounter).

My Current Arsenal:
Ebonite Pursuit-S (45x4x50 w/P1 weight hole) @ fresh 2000 abralon
Ebonite Innovate (65x4x50) @ fresh 2000 abralon + used 2000 abralon for 15 seconds
Storm Victory Road Pearl (45x4x40 w/P1 weight hole) @ fresh 2000 abralon + fresh 4000 abralon + Snake Oil Polish
MoRich MoJave (glazed for toast)

A small bit about me:
PAP:  4 7/8" RT 1 1/2 UP
Axis Tilt 8-10 degrees
Avg Speed: 16-17 mph, "enough" revs

So I'm wondering if I go a crazy direction with it like 500 abralon + UFO polish or with it with heavy surface and a gritted polish geared more for a THS OR if I go with it with a control drilling and put it at 3000ish abralon with an emphasis?  If your arsenal were mine, where you you spot the Bullet Train and at what surface?  I've never thrown a 900 Global piece so I want to make sure I don't have overlap in the arsenal, I want to make sure to pronounce the difference in ball shape / motion as much as possible.

BTM said it was a medium oil ball with a strong backend, weaker than the Train and Freight Train but also less continuous due to the smaller differential.

I'd say its normal position is somewhere around where you have the Innovate, but I suspect the Bullet might be slightly stronger throughout the lane.

If you polished it, it would have a stronger backend than the Victory Road Solid which is normally a very arc-y ball (not sure how flippy it is with your surface treatment.)

I should have noted it's the Victory Road Pearl.....

Yea, that thing doesn't fit in your lineup at all GTx2, so you should send it West, like to me in California. Want my address?  ;D
