Last night in league I'm trying out my brand new Dyno-thane Crisis. I'm matched up against this one guy, who works in the pro shop, a severe Columbia Ball of the Month Club patron. He was throwing the Detour and Alter Ego.
I shoot 202, 204, 240 with one open in each game. He shoots 190, 225, 220. I barely got him on series but it should never have been close. I'm not the board splitter I wish I was, but good lawd at least I get close to what I'm looking at! This guy fires it up 15, smash! 13 at the arrows to the 2 board, smash. 18 at the arrors to 10, smash. Yes, I was watching, yes, he did that... and then he puts his hand out for me to give him five after each shot.
He's a nice enough guy, but it seems if I missed right I got tapped. If I got it inside a little I left the 6-10. Granted he didn't shoot the lights out the house, but it amazes me how some people's game is very conducive to house shots. While others, mainly me, have difficulty matching up on that.
I never think I should score better than I did, if I didn't carry I wasn't playing the lanes right. But why does it feel that some people have adapted to house conditions better than me? Am I the only one to feel this?
