I know weird question, but I tore a chunk out of my thumb (just too much on the skin in too short a time) the other night bowling w/ the pops and it made me wonder how well people play, and how you adapt?
Normally if I get any tears coming I just drop a tiny bit of tape, or liquid skin. Its pretty uncommon for me to do this anymore, but occasionally when I just work the skin too much in a short time I might do it.
Last Sunday I was just too tired and my thumb caught the suffering of it and it pushed more than normal against the ball and eventually tore the skin right on the inside of the thumb at the joing (where thumb meets the hand itself). Happened on the 5th game in the 8th frame so I only had to bowl 3 frames with it like that, but I had to basically turn my ball into a straightball since I didn't bring my normal straight (old Hammer) w/ me. Still got 3 strikes and then opened the final 2 balls in the 10th, but I had to basially 'drop' the ball cause it was too late to try to fix it.
How about you?
