Here’s our dilemma. Lane 1 has donated a XXXL and 5 Lane 1 hats to be given away during the Old School tournament Feb 8 in Kankakee. Gene & I are trying to decide how to “dispose†of the ball.
My initial thoughts was to give each ball review member a ticket when they sign in and then have a drawing at the end of the tournament to see who wins the ball and the hats.
I don’t really feel comfortably raffling off a ball that was given to us. On the other hand though, it isn’t right to use Lane 1 to sponsor a tournament and then restrict the giveaway to only BR members.
How do you guys think we should handle it. Give us some ideas.

Entry fee allows you to get ONE ticket....each person....then pull it at the end of the day....
OR, highest game, highest series, winner overall, best spare shooting %....
do a lucky strike drawing with the tickets, whoever gets pulled must throw a strike to get the ball...........
come on old man, THINK !

I like that idea Jeff. Thanks.
Still looking for more ideas.

Whatever you do - make sure the rules are clear to all BEFORE the tourney starts...
I bowled in a local tournament group tournament a few years ago. Before the tournament, I was told there was going to be a ball giveaway by some means. I don't quite remember. But that was one of the main reasons I decided to bowl that tournament.
AFTER THE START OF QUALIFYING, actually towards the end of it - we were told that the rules had been changed, and some other means was being used to determine the ball winner. I don't remember the details, but it was patently unfair, and almost guaranteed who would get the ball.
I didn't go back to that organization again.
