HUGE BALL PROBLEM!

okay, fist off. i bought 2 balls and drilled them both. while drilling them i noticed that when i pulled the bit out, there was like a hole in the side of the thumb hole, going into the ball. obviously the ball was made like this and what can i do about it?!

Well, sounds like an air pocket.  

Step one would/could be to see if the ball could be deemed defective by the manufacturer, in which case you would get a new ball.  Might be a good idea since there could be more air pockets which could affect performance.

Step two would be to plug the ball and redrill it.  The plug would fill the void, and when you drill it out it would be like new.

Drill the thumb hole out for a slug or sleeve and don't worry about the air pocket.  --  JohnP

i dont throw them both at all cuz i got a high rev and i dont like the drillings on them so im wondering if i could change them out for new ones.

A small bubble is nothing to worry about - I had one in the thumb hole of my Trauma, too. But it can distract you or even hurt - therefore I'd suggest having an insert (finger or thumb) set into the hole, and/or fill it with nitro or epoxy putty, let it dry and sand it back to a smooth surface with the rest of the hole. But this only works well if the bubble is not too deep and/or you have a wide opening to fill it up with the putty.
