I watched the hype around the urethane ball season last year, but arent they just glorified spare balls. A plastic ball is a plastic ball ,right. Is there any difference in the natural pearl and my tzone,or am I missing something

For me the Natural serves as a spare ball but it also is for when the lanes are dry and or I am getting a lot of over/under. It's not over hyped in my opinion.

For THS on league nights, the Liberator I use is my strike and spare ball.  There's nothing hyped about using urethane to manage a spotty, over/under house shot.

I use whatever ball works for me.

if you find no reason, on a personal note, to use urethane, why put it down for the rest of us who can use it?
If you really don't understand the use of it, for whatever reason, then count yourself lucky.
