Running it out. . .
« on: July 05, 2006, 04:48:33 AM »
Does it just PO you?
Should you only do it on the 12th of a 300 in progress?
Should you not do it iit all?

What do you think?
(running it out=walking down 3 or 4 lanes after a ball is thrown)
--------------------
Its hard to play with an inferno and not get burned. Last time I threw my inferno, the opposing bowler definitely got burned.

MY INFERNOS WILL SMOKE YOU!!!

I don't go further than the lane caps on my set, but I do "run" shots out.  I have fun when I bowl.  If you're not having fun, why do it?  I don't do it on shots that are meaningless unless I'm open bowling with friends, but if I need to strike out in the 10th to win a game in league and I nut my shot, why not?

I'm not rubbing it in, and I never interfere with someone else's approach, but for me, doing stupid things after throwing the ball is fun.

I will say this though....moving from Youth where I knew I was the best to Adults where I'm mid range....I surely don't do it like I used to.  I used to do it every shot hahaha...I had a lot of fun.

I don't run things out, per se, but I do "drift" a little, and it's not on purpose or to get in the opponents' head. It's kind of exaggerated body English from me trying to steer the ball through the rack, if that makes any sense, and I do it without planning to do it.

I never go more than one lane over, and usually don't even go that far because I've gotten crunched before by someone not waiting for me to get off the approach before they bowled. Neither of us got hurt and the other guy thought it was all his fault, so we ended up spending five minutes apologizing to each other.

I bowled with a 150-average woman who always ran shots out.  I finally got tired of waiting for her to complete her per-frame routine and said "Look, you can run out shots to the Dairy Queen if you want, but I gotta tell you, it looks stupid as all get out.  Why don't you act like you've thrown a strike or two before?"

Needless to say we don't bowl together anymore

I have never run out a shot in my life.  I know that in the leagues I bowl in, I'd probably get run over by other league traffic
