I did cosmic last night...
« on: July 15, 2004, 11:26:23 PM »
Geez - what an experience. I haven't done full blown cosmic bowling in several years.
My two eldest boys were in town from out of state, so of course, we all went bowling. It was "real cosmic", down to the tasteless, overly loud music videos.
I could kinda block out the music, but the black light made the lane look about 20 feet shorter, and it was almost impossible to see ball reaction.

Since it was on a THS (although really dry), I really didn't have to be too accurate, so my score was ok, but it sure was a challenge!

Anyone else see the same thing?

I don't care if I see my ball reaction or not. If I throw it into an area and it hooks back to the head pin, then that's good enough for me. (Hmmm, it's really not all that different from league night, come to think of it)

If I really want to see the ball spin, I'll stick some flourescent bowling tape on the ball.

You weren't unlucky when you left that corner pin, so shut up about it already!!

I seem to do better the darker it is. I used to go mooonlight bowling with friends back in high school. This was before cosmic bowling and using black lights. They would turn all the lights off except the pin deck and some christmas looking lights in the ceiling. You could barely see the dots at the foul line let alone the arrows or break point. Shot my first 250 plus game that way.

Cosmic bowling is okay unless you are on the lanes near the smike machine. Then I have troubles concentrating because my eyes start to sting.

My Friday night league is a rock-n-bowl league.
Just a fun league...
I love it. the lanes seem to glow somewhat so it shows the target well enough
I think I bowl better on this league, Due to no real pressure. My team is in 1st place so far. We get money at the end, and 6 free games a week. Not to mention the team named The 4 Blonde Chicks... They are enough to kep me interested..

I think Cosmic Bowling is great. I use it as a training tool to help me concentrate. It really makes you focus. I do like the music too.

After my Friday night league, there are some of us who bowl pot games occasionally.  Also after my Friday night league, the lights come down, the music comes up, and the "glow show" starts.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm . . . Cosmic Pot Games - Fun!

Hey what about the fog?
The local house does exstreme bowl whichis the same thing but they like to roll on the fog along with the music and lights.
Its kinda freaky you roll the ball but you cant quite see the pins.
fun city to me.
