I finally did it!

It's not a big accomplishment to most of you, but after six years of bowling, many lessons, lots of bowling balls that didn't have any magic in them, etc., I finally got my first 600 on Friday night.  I've had loads of 590-somethings over the past two years, but I couldn't crack the barrier.  Last week in league, I needed a 183 to do it, but it wasn't meant to be.  Ended that night with a 589.  So this past Friday, I stopped doing the math and just bowled.  195-222-189 for a 606.  Had I done the math, I'd have known going into the tenth that I needed another 183.  That would have freaked me out.

Anyway, as I said, it's not a huge accomplishment to others, but I fought long and hard for it.  Now to get the second one ...

Good job.  It took me a while to get my first 600 and after that, they come much more easily.  Once you get over the nerves, once you realize that even if you screw it up this time, you'll get another chance later, it's much easier.

Congratulations!

Two things to never do while bowling: thinking and 'the math'.  Both of them will ruin an otherwise perfect evening.

625 is right around the corner.  Keep the hammer down.

Congratulations Debina!  That first 600 seems like it takes forever, your next will seem much easier now that you have made it.

Remember my first 600! Still fighting to get some more and maybe get close to 700..

Keep it up! Keep it going! Have fun and bowl well!

... and btw. not doing the math is one trick! Just go from ball to ball... do the job that is in front of you and scores will take care of themselves... as long as you always give your best there is nothing to calculate cause it wouldn't get any better

Congratulations, Debina.  Good to hear you are bowling well, which is the case if your high series is 606 and you're throwing a bunch of 590+ series. That also means the second one will be coming soon.

Great job after this it will be all cake, let me tell you this after two first games that are good counting is always bad. You will be counting towards 700 or 800 find myself still doing the same thing, shot many 520 plus for the first two to blow 800.

After my first 600 they came left and right, if you can bowl clean it is pretty easy not even striking every ball.
