I was using a Mass Chaos (that I had just put some of Doc's Magic Elixer on about 1 week ago)!
I'm very thankful to God for this!!! He gets all the Praise and Glory for my success!!!
My previous high was 765 about 8 months ago.
My games were 264, 268, & 268.
I really never thought I would do it. Even though I've only been bowling for a little over 2 years and I've really learned a TON OF STUFF from this place... and one of my closest friends that took me under his wing and taught me the game!!!
What was really nerve racking was having to make the 2-8 spare just to shoot 800 on the nose! Because if I would have chopped one of the pins, I'd have only shot 799!
I know you all have probably seen a BUNCH of my posts lately in the last couple of months in the forumns, and some of you are probably getting tired of me asking so many questions... and I bet some of you have probably said,"I wish Ric Clint would just get a life",... LOL - but hey, I'm just wanting to learn as much as I can and be the best I can!

I've shot 4 300's in practice and I never thought that I would ever shoot a 300 in LEAGUE. And now, I come up and shoot an 800 in LEAGUE "before" I ever shot a 300 in league. Talk about being backwards? LOL.

I guess all those questions were well worth it.
I'm glad the Elixir helped you achieve one of the toughest awards yet.

I'm not so sure if 800's are THAT easy. Aren't there only just a hand full of 800's shot each year?
I do have to say that mine was only the second 800 series that I've ever seen shot.
And also, that I've already shot one in ONLY my first 2 years of bowling... I think that is pretty good (not trying to brag, just being honest)!!!
I just hope there's many more to come!
ps... if a man doesn't get excited over an 868 series like you shot (no matter how easy the shot is), then what drives your motivation to continue to even bowl???

It's just that I've had a few near misses where I shot great, like around 530-540 for the first 2 games, and then just didn't quiet finish it off in the 3rd game for the 800.

He has no sanctioned 800s. A couple in unsanctioned tournaments and on the tour!
Conditions must be different some places, an 869 would get noticed in our 3 county area of just under 5,000,000 people!
To accomplish an 800 in two years time WOW!
869 Wow!
The record was what 882 or 883 for only like 100 years!

And not only that, he told me the following when I shot mt 800 (it's all right here on this same thread)...
"800's are a dime a dozen anymore. I shot 299-269-300 last night in our scratch summer classic league. 868 and I didn't even get excited. I felt like I cheated because the lanes were so soft."
But yet, his profile says the following (as long as he hasn't changed it after reading this)...
"never had a 300 game, highest average ever 202. did have a 290 (11 in a row) last year, with the last 11 in a row."
So what's the deal? I thought he said that he'd never shot a 300? But as you can see, his 868 included a 300! Why cut me down for my 800, when he's never even came close?
