Which ball?
« on: January 21, 2004, 09:32:27 AM »
Ok I am looking for a ball that I can play a pretty strait shot with like around 10-6.  I bowl on medium to dry synthetics.  I have medium to high revs and medium speed.  The balls I have now are the Visionary Green Gargoyle, drilled to go long and flip, a Slate Blue Gargoyle drilled teh same as the Green Gargoyle, Storm Hot Rod drilled with the pin above and right of my ring and the cg in palm, and a Storm Big Hit Solid drilled lable.

The Green Mile, fantastic movie....oops, off topic

If the Big Hit is too much, you may want to look into the Roto SonicX solid. Other options may be even to look into finding an old NIB Blue Pearl or Red Pearl Hammer, or maybe even the new red pearl hammer.

Just some thoughts.

I think lft_side is right most of those balls work great on lighter shots. How much do you come around the side of the ball? I would try to stay behind the ball a little more if you come around it alot.

lft_side,

I can shoot good (for me) with any of my bowling balls on the lanes but I am wanting to be able to play a different part of the lanes than I normaly do, I know that just a new ball wont do it but I have tried everything I know to play that line with those balls.  More speed, uncupping my wrist, staying behind the ball like TravisG said.  I don't know what to do.

MTFD24,

I was looking at the Sonic X Solid a few minutes ago.  Does it have a weaker cover than the Big Hit Solid, because the RG and Diff, are almost the same for them.

Also do y'all think the V2 Dry would be a good ball for this shot?  Again thanks for your replys and have a nice day.
