Is there a general guideline to how tight your thumbhole is, or is it just preference?

each person is different, some one might like it tight, others loose depends on the person

Have you ever stuck your thumb in your girlfriends
mouth!

That is exactly how your thumbhole should feel.
Maybe not so wet!  That is what we call...perfect bevel.

A guy that I know, has his thumb really tight and drills a little vent hole so he does not get a vaccum on it. Another guy likes his really loose and uses a THUMB STRAIGHT to stop him from gripping it. So it is up to the person as to how tight the thumb hole is. There is a pro that has his so tight, you can hear it as he pushes it in. I almost want to say Chris Barnes, but I am not sure if it is him or not.

BOWLING IS FUN NO MATTER WHAT YOU SCORE. BUT A 300 IS ALWAYS NICE.

STRIKE ZONE & PYRO. STAND 18 AND THROW 10 OUT TO 5 AND SMASH THE POCKET. AT LEAST THAT IS THE PLAN OF THE NIGHT...

GOOD LUCK AND GOOD BOWLING!!!
