Generations Bowling Tour

Has any one else received a letter to join the Generations Bowling tour?

www.gbtour.com

I’m thinking about bowling as a guest at the Wichita stop but I can’t justify joining the organization.

The $300 a year dues would not offset the entry savings. .

No other events are within 400 miles I could really only enter the one. .

It will be interesting to see how many entries they get at $450 to $550 per event.

The first event going on right now “only” has 75 (48 in the 50 to 59 and 27 in the 60+) entries when they could have 192 maximum.

I got my letter in yesterdays mail. I have talked to a guy who knows the main man that got this going. Steve Sanders and my buddy says it will work with all the past PBA champs coming on and supporting it.

I want to try it and find out if I can compete with the old guys. I am 56, but not sure if my body will let me. Working 30 years in a steel mill tells me some days NO.

Although I'm on the PBA's (non-member) mailing list, I haven't received anything from the GBT.

I got something several months ago. Haven't gotten anything recently. And I've contacted Steve directly, to inquire whether women are eligible. The answer was a resounding YES!!!

So - when I get my game back together, and there's an event on the west coast, I'm IN!!!

59?!!

Between your prune power bars and Metamucil smoothies, when do you have time to bowl?

My scratch league team consists of 4 of us over 50 and carrying 200 averages.

We all got the letter yesterday. I assume the GBT got a mailing list from the USBC and bowlers over 50 with 200 averages in certain states got the mailers.

I’m just a feeble old man. Take away my depends and ensure and I’d probably fall down and mess myself.
