2nd........Blem
« on: April 12, 2004, 11:05:28 AM »
Is there anything I need to consider if I want to buy a 2nd? or simply just dont touch it?  Or what should I look for in particular if going for a 2nd?

Any bad experience out there we can share?

Alot of the times balls are called a 2nd or a blem if the label is wrong on them, just the actual words, ball is perfectly fine, some the pin and cg are miss marked, those ones can be more problems, or some blems may have like a gigantic pin, just check out the ball and try to weigh it to find out whats wrong, some are good some are bad.

I left another 10 pin

So It can be label wording, or pin mismarked.

But it can also be pin mismarked with gigantic pin. (WORST SCENARIO)

Anyways, is it still ABC approved with a 2nd?

yes its still abc approved, just the biggest problem you gotta check for is thumb weight and finger weight and side weight, blems can have a huge number which in that case will need to be drilled out or it will be illegal

Others could just be a minor surface flaw like pinholes or coloring.  I've bought some like that.
