The best team did prevail.....
« on: April 27, 2007, 03:05:02 PM »
We won our rolloff on Tuesday night.... The only way we got in was the best overall record... No position round wins..... I think we lost 28-32 points out of 78 total losses on position round nights.... everyone that we bowled against was like WOW no position round wins and you won the whole league.... I wonder if that rule will be there next year......Don't know how much money was won will find that out Tuesday at the banquet... which I think is a waste of money.
20 bucks a person to eat at some Italian resturant...... multiple that buy 30 bowlers and theres an extra 600 in the prize fund.... leauge was a 10 team-3 man league that we only pd 9 bucks a night..... and 7.35 of that went to lineage.....

My team...."Tucking Fen Pin" won our league roll off on Thursday, not with a lot of help from me unfortunately. I stunk. I had a 548...not what I had in mind. Couldn't hit a ten pin spare for my life and missed a seven pin as well. We won the first half and had a lot of bad luck in the second half of the season, but we got going again just in time. We went against the second half winners (who got in my winning seven points on the last night against the team that was four points ahead of them in the position round) and beat them all three games. It was all but a scratch match, only two pins difference in handicap. It wasn't easy but we managed to win. That's the first time in a long late summer, winter, spring league that I've been on a league champion so it's kinda neat. (I've won in Summer leagues before that that's not the same.)
