Once again there is a question of what bowling ball i should have my friend get. It's hard to explain the way he rolls the ball... Me and a friend are trying to get him to change his style right now so he can get more hook and be more consistent. he has been leaving a ton of 5 pin combinations, and he is using an old beat up, hand me down, probably never been cleaned, Trauma Response. Personally a ball i didn't like in the first place. He rolls the ball probably 16-17 mph, with low revs, and he likes to come over the ball. His ball is completely worn down, nothing left of it. And he is really straped for money right now. He want's a ball that will hook more for him, and carry. I just gave him an old ball my dad had, but i told him it probably wouldn't work for him at all. It's a Lightning Storm (PBA Senior Open Edition) with a polished coverstock and it has 5 OZ of top weight. Not a very hard hooking ball at all. it only has probably 20 games on it. I also have an old Meteor storm (left handed) that a friend gave me. not exactly sure how it works and i don't know any specs on that ball. So, my question is this. would one of these balls work better for him than his worn down Response? All he wants right now is good carry and more hook as cheap as he can find it. he's even worried about the cost to get a ball redrilled. He recently has really shown a want to get better. So what do you guys think?... should we have him drill up the Meteor Storm, Lightning Storm, or just get some really cheap ball somewhere?

Forgot to say that if anyone is interested in the Lightning Storm I can always just give my friend the Meteor. Not asking any particular price on it, just offer me something and we'll go from there
