Recommendations to replace a benchmark ball
« on: August 29, 2010, 04:57:55 PM »
My favorite/benchmark ball is a Brunswick Copperhead, and it has a lot of games on it.  Thinking it's about time to buy something new with very similar charateristics.  I'm strictly a league bowler, rolling on a fresh house shot that's medium oil.  I have a newer Reign of Fire (an excellent ball too) that I use first game, but as soon as the oil gets scarce, it's time to bring out the Copperhead.  I'm basically a stroker, speed, 13 to 13.5 mph who likes to play outside -- up the 6-7 board.  Rev rate about 250.  Really like a smooth arc -- can't deal with a big backend snap.  Both the Copperhead and Reign of Fire are OOB surface.  Any suggestions or recommendations?
