2 Quick vids of the 2 handed delivery
« on: May 23, 2005, 07:24:09 AM »
Thanks bowlingmytmouse for the editing.

Here's a quick video of my two handed release with a Storm Hot Wire(first shot).
The second shot is a floor view of the revrate and rotation with a Storm Firepower.
And due to the request of BMM I threw in a one handed shot with a Blue Sanded Tornado(He told me I need to show a little Emotion ).

Enjoy....or not

If only hook equaled scores and credibility....

To answer the first guy's question, the other hand does nothing on the release(as with the other two handed bowlers).  It only assists in cradling the ball longer in the downswing so you never lose momentum or power in your swing.

Maybe I should have put some white tape going from the ring finger to the PAP, then you could really see how much the ball is revving.  With no inserts and no clashing colors, it's a bit hard to make out the revrate.

and the only reason i can hook plastic more is when i use 2 hands i "rip" the crap out of the ball (700+ RPMs) and only have about 40 degrees of axis rotation, you have much more that that...

Unless you threw it like that (in the one handed shot) just because of lane conditions, your two handed shot is a lot better than your one handed shot...Oh and nice "YESSS" at the end.

PS-  Not to nitpick, but bighook, I doubt you get 700+rpm on the ball, considering only Robert Smith has ever achieved over 700.  I'd say more like 600 sounds right.  Either way that's a lot of freakin revs.

RPM = revolutions per min, right?

If i am not a total dummy then yes, with my 15mph ball speed and a TON LOAD of Revs i think i can get about 700RMPs ... like i said, i will post a vid of ball rotation if i ever get to the alley

I've been able to throw the ball two handed for a few years now, I just never did it on a regular basis.  A few months back I ended up hurting some tendons right below my thumb and the pain would end up shooting into my forearm.  I attritbuted it to years of cupping the ball excessively.  Since March it's been painful to even pick up a 15 or 16lb ball.  For me throwing the ball two handed alleviates all of the stress but on my wrist, shoulder, and forearm.  Not to mention, I throw the ball like a wet sissy with one hand
