I though Mika Koivnemi was signed with Brunswick
« on: January 28, 2010, 09:27:03 AM »
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------I know if Mika isn't signed with anyone, he can throw what he wants.

I seen Koivmena (SP?) using the Mission during the Dick Weber Open in Fountain Valley. I thought he was signed with Brunswick. When I bowled with Mika about 6 years ago, he was throwing Track (Money) during qualifying.

Anyway, Mika played inside and the Mission jumped off the breakpoint. After game one he changed bowling balls, but I couldn't see what he changed to or how long he changed. I stayed put, but the bowlers moved right so I didn't follow him.

Great bowler, great guy.

I believe he was wearing a Columbia patch on his shirt during the TOC. I do remember seeing him throw a Mission during his match with Kulick, however.

He was a free agent last year for sure, sponsored by an independent company. I can''t recall what it was though.

He was with Brunswick up to the end of last season. During the summer Geico Team Shootout you saw him use Global900 and Ebonite on that show and he seems to like the Ebonite brands right now. But AFAIK he is a complete free agent and can use whatever.

although mika is indeed a free agent he won the 2010 brunswick ballmaster open in finland in december using a brunswick c-system 3.5. this tournament featured many exempt pba players and a top field of international players.
