ICE oil
« on: September 12, 2015, 09:08:00 AM »
Anyone have experience with this oil actually pushing down the lane?
other than plastic or polished equipment, sure seems like we are getting carrydown on the higher volume patterns

I went to my usual thought of the heads are going away and balling down and/or moving my feet, but a few regional players I know say that it actually gets hang due to carrydown and they ball up

I did ball up and it was OK for the next 6-8 frames, but operator error didn't allow me to properly see what was happening

I think ice is a bit slicker and seems to hold up a bit better.  On longer patterns I like it better because back ends are less snappy to begin with and transitions are easier.  I recently bowled a few games in a very high scoring house that just switched to ICE.  I had previously bowled super in this house with Ride, and even a Blue Hammer.  My Blue Hammer definitely didn't react as well on the ICE.  Carrydown might be a bit more on ICE, or maybe just the oil is slicker to begin with.  Not sure.
