Bowling novel
« on: September 29, 2003, 06:17:57 PM »
A few years back i started to write a bowling novel. Completly fiction, i got around 7 chapters done, and then lost it all due to a computer dying. And i was thinking the other day, what better place to put instalments of a new novel then to the bowling public on ball reviews. So if i could conjour up the effort to start up again, and posted a new chapter say every fortnight or month, would you all follow it and read it? Or would it just get over looked???

Just interested
good luck and high scoring

Remember Matt, bowlers are cheap.  If you put it up here for free, they'll read it.  If you tried to charge a 10 cent subscription fee, they'd complain that they can't afford it, while shelling out 25 bucks in the bar every night they bowl.

That said, how much people would look forward to the next chapter depends on how good it is.

As far as subject matter, you couldn't find a more targetted audience than ballreviews.

Go for it!

Yeah, sure, put it here!  Nice to see a fellow writer . .

HAH!  I don't know ANYBODY now!

Being in adult leagues teaches you many things.

1.  You're not on top anymore, but there are a lot more people that suck worse than you do now.

2.  The myth about the youths having an easier shot is NOT TRUE.  I'd have an entire ring collection if it was.

3.  Drunk adults are a lot funnier than drunk youths.

Ok, sounds good, ill give it a shot. Im going away for the next weekish, so dont expect the first installment for a while.

So, while im away, get me started. I would like a good name, suggest a arsenal for him, where he should live(where there are some good tournaments). When i get back ill get started. Gives me an excuse not to do my uni work

good luck and high scoring

Hmm, let's think... Aha!

Name:  Joe Bowler
Arsenal:  All the latest Oil balls...

lol, maybe not... But his arsenal can't be complete without "The Thing"! heehee
