I think some people need to relax If a crying baby bothers them that much then either they never had kids, or wasn't the type of parent that got easily agitated.
I say this
as a parent of a 3 week old girl.........no one wants to hear my baby cry at league. A LOT of people go out to get away from those things. I can totally see how my child would annoy the hell out of everyone that is paying for a night out. I will make arrangements or I will not bowl. I will not subject everyone else to that. That's most certainly not an unreasonable request on behalf of everyone else.
Come on its only league now if it was like a regional or something of that level then maybe.
Haha, then MAYBE? MAYBE in that regional setting you'd consider otherwise....good Lord.
But if you can deal with loud drunk "Joe" every week you can deal with a crying kid or walk around the playpen which most likely not that much in their way..
The point is people go out to get away from "dealing with things"....it's the classic Golden Rule. I'm not trying to create a situation other people have to "deal with" and because it's my child doesn't make it any different.
Also, this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minimisation_(psychology)#Social_minimisation"Social interchanges involving minor infringements often end with the 'victim' minimizing the offence with a comment like 'Think nothing of it', using so-called 'reduction words', such as 'no big deal,' 'only a little,' 'merely,' or 'just', the latter particularly useful in denying intent."
Again, I say all that as a parent. It's a strong stance but it's fair and considerate of others.
