Fathers, don't bring your toddler to the bowling alley and have him/her walk without shoes and dirty clothes while you be throwing a damn timeless....
-
Parents, the approach 2 pairs away from an 8 game tournament is not the place you should let your children play and run around while you bowl on the other side of the house. I'll discipline your kids for you kthx.

The bowling center is not a daycare or playground. Watch you kids please. ::)

LOL - I live in SoCal and my 12/16 year old boys are avid skateboarders. They hit the local skateparks more than I hit the bowling alley. Sometimes they come with me to league night right from the skatepark and yea they look like dirty grubby skaterpunks, lol. Canvas shoes last about 2 weeks, suede shoes about a month. Skateboarders crash a lot and both boys know how to bail properly to avoid too much injury. They always land on the same spot on their right buttocks and/or front hip area. So all of their clothes have rips/tears in that area in about a week. I don't have or want a timeless but I'll buy Hy Roads until they stop making them. Got two in my bag right now. When the word is out that they are stopping production I'll buy 2 or 3 extra just in case, lol.

Comical thread, but sadly true.

DAY CARE YOU SAY.........hahahaha
there was a league in one of the nights I used to bowl league that had two families that brought one or two baby cribs (portable play pen) to their league. I've never seen that done before in all the years I've bowled league. But It's a family fun league, it don't bother me none, but it irked some people..

I would rather have that then have them run around. I did go to state with my son one year and had a pack 'n play for him. He was content and couldn't go anywhere.

It's the only reason I work!!

I promise my toddler had clean clothes and shoes on when we left the house. Once the vehicle is moving the shoes come off and first food he touches clothes get dirty. Life of a father with boys

Lol, I live in between Hampshire and sycamore. Lots of land. I'm just going to point to my backyard and state that I can bury a body in less than 10 minutes.

Impending Doom, just watch what you say. That is how "premeditated" gets thrown around in a courtroom, and nobody wants that lol

If you have 4 girls (Or a young daughter period), get them into bowling and you won't have to spend a dime on college. There's girls with full rides to universities that average 175-180 just because the school has $XX,XXX.xx available in scholarship money to give away to womens collegiate bowling programs under title IX.

Oh, they all love going to the center.

I bring my son in his play pin I wish someone would say something to me! I take care of my son, he plays with his toys and don't bother anybody. When I was a baby my parents did the same with me I do not see the problem here. And if any thing I need to tell people to leave him alone as everyone want to hold him or touch him..I think some people need to relax If a crying baby bothers them that much then either they never had kids, or wasn't the type of parent that got easily agitated. Come on its only league now if it was like a regional or something of that level then maybe. But if you can deal with loud drunk "Joe" every week you can deal with a crying kid or walk around the playpen which most likely not that much in their way..
Sorry but that rubbed me the wrong way not you personally but there are people like that. Now the kids on the approach thing yeah thats where I drawn the line but at that age they should know better.

I say this as a parent of a 3 week old girl.........no one wants to hear my baby cry at league. A LOT of people go out to get away from those things. I can totally see how my child would annoy the hell out of everyone that is paying for a night out. I will make arrangements or I will not bowl. I will not subject everyone else to that. That's most certainly not an unreasonable request on behalf of everyone else.
Come on its only league now if it was like a regional or something of that level then maybe.
Haha, then MAYBE? MAYBE in that regional setting you'd consider otherwise....good Lord.
But if you can deal with loud drunk "Joe" every week you can deal with a crying kid or walk around the playpen which most likely not that much in their way..
The point is people go out to get away from "dealing with things"....it's the classic Golden Rule. I'm not trying to create a situation other people have to "deal with" and because it's my child doesn't make it any different.
Also, this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minimisation_(psychology)#Social_minimisation
"Social interchanges involving minor infringements often end with the 'victim' minimizing the offence with a comment like 'Think nothing of it', using so-called 'reduction words', such as 'no big deal,' 'only a little,' 'merely,' or 'just', the latter particularly useful in denying intent."
Again, I say all that as a parent. It's a strong stance but it's fair and considerate of others.

I'll also add this: I don't know why, if my child were screaming and crying at the center, why that situation annoying someone else should bother me. I'm totally the one creating the situation in that spot.
I do not see the problem here.
Obv.......
I think some people need to relax If a crying baby bothers them that much
Obv the baby crying isn't annoying, it HAS to be the person not being relaxed.
-
Bleh - the only people annoyed are probably the bowlers having a bad night and they will find anything to blame for not scoring. But....if they are having a great night they will probably ask you to bring your screaming kids again next week for good luck. We bowlers tend to be a superstitious bunch, me included.
