Dumping-Your opinion

A couple of weeks back I saw something that I thought was really lame. New bowler to our league shoots 237-237 then comes the last game and has a string going in to 10th frame. He gets first strike then proceeds to dump last two balls for 237 to complete his triplicate. You think he should still get his award?

Technically speaking, he should, since he technically accomplished the feat.

BUT, he doesn't deserve it.

the only time i had a chance so far, i need a total of nine in the tenth....went a touch high and left the big four....dang it

the guy's a retard if it costs the team a point when he does it

No should be turned in for sandbagging to ABC and banned from bowling for a year.

Sorry I did not clarify. Yes his team won the game and yes they were gutter balls. I don't know what his book is but I'm sure it's in the 210-220 range. To me it's sandbagging and I'm sure he's got plenty of awards. I'm just not a fan of this. It was almost like a joke to him to dump it to get the award.

Umm... Isn't front nine = 240; even if you gutter twice in the 10th...
So he had front 8, nine-miss, double gutter?

That's the only way that I can see it.
So the guy never had a shot at 300 if he finished with a 237.

WOW! Rough crowd! Guy bowls 3 games and averages 237 .. and is being called a SANDBAGGER! Hope someday I can get in that position!
