« on: March 28, 2005, 09:48:17 PM »
to buy a plastic, which plastic will you think of right away?

I'm getting a plastic, but not sure which to get. I'm looking for normal plastics like white dots, etc.

possible get me suggestions for colors too..

Thanks!

Thought of target zones, but are rather to find over at Singapore.

I owned ebonite maxim before, and had a bad experience with it. that monster just hooks and i miss most of my spares. :\

I'll ship to you, if you decide to go that way.

I always wondered if they did change and how much, if it was really noticable or not.
Thanks for the info

A plastic cost around 120SGD with drillings and grips, which will cost around 75USD. If i get it shipped over to Singapore, it will somehow cost a lot more.
Anyway, thanks for your offer.

Maybe I just check out with the supplier.

Circle Athletics – RIO. Costs $36.00 or so at Buddies. Hardness rating is 88. Four different swirl colors to choose from.

They are being backordered till end of april. they've the hardness of the previous batch of blue dots. They really have nice colors, but need to check with my pro shops and see how early can they get balls.

No question... a Columbia White Dot.

Doesn't have to be fancy, just has to knock down a pin or two.  Most of the "gimick" balls cost more than $50.00 anyway. Don't they?

Plastics are also alternatives for toasted lanes. I wonder if white dots track out as soon as maxims?

As mentioned before, the Rio series from Circle are really hot looking. Eye catchers plus they are only around 36 bucks at Buddies.

Nope, for me, at least, a Columbia Black Knight.  It might take a while to find one NIB.  However, that's the ball that I had my first 300 with.  The Polyester-Ball-O-Disaster.

I'd buy whatever ball my proshop carries (which happens to be the white dot).  3-piece plastic is 3-piece plastic.  If you think one hooks more than the other then throw a couple coats of polish on it or drill it with negative side weight.

my original plan was to sand it white, but the ball does actually look good, just except for the team on it lol.
