Illinois State Tournament-High Scores
« on: June 04, 2008, 04:47:42 PM »
The illinois tournament is divided into a north and south division.  check out the scores shot for the scratch division.....very high in the south.  Was told it was the easiest house shot people have ever bowled on.

The all events scratch division scores are just singles/doubles.

Thats great.  The North shot was not easy at all.  I had to play my Robert Smith shot.  Loft with a big belly.  Not easy for 6 games on worn out wood lanes.

Yes, the south division pattern was definitely right up there among the easiest house shots I have encountered.  In addition, the carry was very good.

Our team shot 3421 (without a 600 series) and did not have a sniff at the board.

Ya, the South was only a good shot if you had fresh oil. We just happened to
be on shifts both days that had no fresh oil. I shot fairly decent on that burnt up crap. So, I,m sure all those (majority) scores were shot on the fresh
stuff.

I bowl with both of the guys that won doubles. I will take your word for it if the shot was "easy". But both of them are very good bowlers. both avg 220 range. Congrats to all the winners!

Good point - I was referring to the fresh.  Although the burn was quite scoreable, it would be difficult on the burn to match the scoring pace on the fresh.
