Sport Bowling and Chicago

Why are there no sport bowling leagues in Chicago, or around it?  This is a major bowling city, but the sport leagues have not followed.

I know of at least 3 in the northwest suburban area and there may be another in the west suburbs.  The leagues that I am familiar with are at Hawthorn Lanes in Vernon Hills and Beverly Lanes in Arlington Heights.  The Brunswick Zone near Lake Zurich also runs a summer sport league.  I can get you more information if you're interested.

The only other center I know of would be Parkside Lanes in Aurora, which is west of you.  I am not familiar with their league but it might be worth a call if it is close enough for you.  Good Luck.
