I was around town and stopped and had my feet checked and I was told they were flat. I got some inserts for my shoes and man do my feet feel better.

My question is this. Would It be helpful to add inserts to my bowling shoes as well. I had this problem since I broke my ankle a few years back. Since then, my feet been flat and I have had a hop at the end of my approach.

Anyone know of anyone that had tried inserts in the shoes? And thought on it.

Bought my 1st set about 6 months ago. My feet were hurting so bad & a month later what relief. Tried to bowl with out the inserts & it just felt weird. They do make a difference.

Boytoy, my hubby wears inserts (orthotics) in his bowling shoes. It makes a world of difference since he doesn't seem to get as tired as he did before. He's worn the orthotics for years due to a skating injury and it dawned on him recently to try the orthotics in his bowling (and golf, for that matter) shoes. Hubby gets a Durrr.... lol

I will try it tonight...and Yes thats what I'm talking about orthotics. I just could'nt believe thay were $490 a set

I bought some a few weeks ago at "The Walking Store" here in our local mall. Cost me $60, and they work GREAT in my bowling shoes. I've tried the more expensive ones, and they don't work as well.

One caution, though - I once tried the 3/4 length ones in my bowling shoes, and ended up injuring the ball of my foot, because of sliding back and forth over the end of the insert. I now have full length ones in the bowling shoes.

Another suggestion - how about moving them from your street shoes to your bowling shoes, and back again???

I wear orthotics in my shoes and I cast them in my office for my patients. Every pair is custom made for the individual. They are very helpful if you have a pronation of the foot, flat feet as most of you would call it.

If anyone is ever in my area and are interested in getting a custom set made let me know. They $125.00

Dang Doc.....Why can't you be on this side of town.

I only bought one pair of the inserts and they cost me $85.00 . In my opinion they are good but I'm sure they are better ones for allot less. I think I will try some cheaper ones in my bowling shoes tonight...Dr Scholl's or something. I cant afford to spend $85 a pair for every shoe I own. I would change them out like mumzie suggested.
