Intense Inferno or The Rule
« on: August 03, 2004, 02:15:55 AM »
I have the chance to get either one of these balls for the cost of just to drill it.  I was wondering what people have thought if they have thrown them.  I believe the Intense is for medium to medium light lanes giving the "long and strong" motto that everyone says and the Rule is for medium heavy to heavy correct?  Just looking to see if anyone has any opinions on these 2 balls...

I watched a few folks throwing the intense the other night. I don't think medium light would cover it - maybe medium to medium heavy. Yes - the ball goes fairly long. But when it moves, it MOVES!!!
The pro shop guy that was throwing one said that

that thing hits too hard for me!!!

Sounds like my kind a ball!

I was just going by what it said on Brunswick's website but I guess they are underestimating this ball huh?

Their website says:

quote:
Out of Box:  With its High Gloss Polish finish the Intense Inferno will match up well on medium-dry to medium-oily lane conditions.

I just ordered mine today.

Personally, I would opt for a Rule.

Hi Iketown
Talked with Del last Friday at Bowlmaster show. Had a Rule there with a core sample. The coverstock is "completely" new and it is Track's own coverstock. Del assured me this ball will hook. Just under the Animal rating wise. Since I like sanded reactives or low load particles I am going to make this my heavy oil ball.
Note: The Freak-a-Zoid is a revolved Morepheus core. Should make an excellent house shot ball or pattern A.
