Brunswick Anvilane...Varying hardness?

Went to the lanes yesterday part of a chain that has a few centers around.

The nearby center where I bowl has Brunswick anvilanes.  Now at this previous piece o crap wood lane center(I like wood lanes just these were terrible).  They are installing Brunswick Anvilanes too!

Same distinctive hash markings on the lanes.  However I went up and looked at some of the lanes getting ready to be layed tomorrow.  They appeared sligltly Browner or tanner in color compared to the ones at the previous Brunswick Anvilane installation.  In addition these looked softer or slower.  More like AMF synthetics in how fast the ball shoots off down the lanes (slower).

Already saw some good scores on the left where NOBODY on the left has hit 200 in a couple of years.  Shot looks very playable and a little softer surface than other more yellow looking anvilanes I've seen before.

Come in different hardnesses???  Anyone know?

OH crap I don't know if this is where lefties will go to establish average any more.  Maybe rock hard center above!

Alright Smart Alec!

Just kidding.

In all reality I had to develop a seperate arsenal of stuff for that rock Candy early Brunswick Anvilane.  (I really hate it!)

It is just quick.

Versus I have always liked AMF Synthetics and Wood!  It is nice to see these out.

And I'm scoring so much higher it's fun.

Like in golf some guys like slower to medium greens(me) and others like fast and rock hard.

I'm the same way with bowling i like to be able to read it's movement in the heads and mids better than rock candy early anvilane gives me.

Like i think already mentioned Carrydown seems to not be a hugh problem on AMF synthetics. I bowl in a center with nearly 15 year old AMF HPL. and now in a lot of new centers the new Proanvil has been installed in the last 5 years.

The center i bowl in uses 80 units of prodigy and the Proanvil, and man does it make for a slick combination. at another center that has the proanvil is known as 10 pin city, it's extremely hard to carry, because it is a completely new center. So the pit curtains, and kickbacks are very hard. Usually after two games of league there is carrydown affecting carry and moving is necessary.

I love bowling on the old pro-anvilanes, mostly due to my slower ballspeed/high side roll. Shot my best series, 834 (unsanctioned) on pro-anvilanes.

I did, however, always hate the approaches, as I stuck a ton on them. And I don't think there is a person out there who likes the sound the ball makes when it hits the surface, sounds like its literally hitting metal!

Sounds like an interesting surface, I have been struggling at a wood house for awhile now(Due to my high sideroll/slower speed, every ball i have snaps like a mofo), but something inbetween pro-anvil and wood would be nice. I also hated how white pro-anvils looked, seems like they might have changed that too!

See LL, I am also interested in lane surface (although everyone else in my family thinks i'm obsessed with it, so maybe thats a sign to you ).

    I talked to my ball driller which talks to Mo all the time and he said that Brunswick has made 2 or 3 different lane beds that are softer than the ProAnvil lane. In the last 2 or 3 years....
Not sure what they are calling them

These softer lanes have the 4 hash marks down the lane.
They are just softer.

Look just like the surface Rick Lawrence won on.  Quicker read of the ball.
Note Walter's quick read on the tracked out right that day!
